Installing a TKX and I'm at the pedals and wiring phase.
My car has cruise control and not sure how to connect it.
The 4th gen doesn't use vacuum, from what I've read.
Do I need to put 2 of the same switches that came on the 3rd gen. auto pedal, one for the brake and other for the clutch?
How do these mount into the 4th gen assembly?
I have the Hawks 4th gen pedal assembly
How do these mount into the 4th gen assembly
I had the 4 gen pedals and had to use a 2002 camaro CC brake switch because with the 4G pedals, the third gen switch interfered with the high beam switch. Just wire it in series with the clutch CC switch, plug the vacuum line at the CC canister and I ran a 4000 ppm wire from my Dakota Digital control box to the CC speed input wire. I don't know if the CCspeed input will work well with the TKX speed output because it is somewhere around 14K per mile on the trans as it comes from tremec.
I ordered 2 of the 4th gen. switches and 1 additional 3rd gen switch.
I was hoping not to have any interference issues but you say i will.
I'll call Hawks on Monday and ask them how they deal with the issue.
If it becomes a problem I'll buy a 3rd gen assembly and sell the 4th.
Once you put in the 4G switch with the 4G pedals it all fits fine with no interference. I am interested in what Hawks does though so if you could post it, that would be nice to know. Mine is done but I've never seen what others have done on this.
Found this on ebay.
Says it's a direct fit.
Under the drivers kick panel I found 2 plugs that could be disconnected that would fit this connector.
This pic shows the wires at both ends of the connector and the plugs behind the kick panel neither have wires at both ends.

FWIW, I purchased that and it did not work. The small plug end did not match up with the plug under the dash in my '90 Formula. This fit the car harness in my car:
Talked with the tech at Hawks.
He would put me on hold and go talk to someone else.
Told me to put the cruise cancel only on the clutch pedal and not the brake pedal.
I was shocked and told him how incredibly dangerous that was and why, he put me on hold again.
Came back and said there pedals will not work on a third gen. with cruise control.
I would agree that the Hawk's pedals will not work without modification. As I said, the switch will work on the clutch pedal, but you have to shave down the locking pins until it will lock into the mounting hole. Also, as far as needing a vacuum release on the clutch pedal, I have found that it doesn't seem to be necessary. There are two electronic vacuum controls (closed, to provide vacuum; and open, to vent vacuum) in the cruise servo that are controlled by the cruise control module. When the brake pedal switch opens (or the stalk switch is turned off or the end button is depressed for "coast"), the cruise control module commands vacuum to vent at the servo. I guess the vacuum switch at the pedal is basically a "fail safe."
I've been following this thread very closely - have an '89 IROC that I'm considering to convert to manual using Hawks TKX kit. I also have CC and when i spoke to a Hawks rep they never mentioned about using 4th Gen pedals. Good read on this issue.
I used the original brake light switch, the switch that controlled the CC from the brake pedal on the clutch pedal with only the electric and not vacuum and the black vacuum only switch on the brake pedal.
The vacuum only is shorter and cleared the high beam switch.
I haven't been able to test drive to confirm this will work.
I installed the Dakota using the output from the TKX and cut the speedo connector off , extended that to the box.
I still haven't been able to test this to see if it'll work
