9 Bolt Built Components?
This is less of a major right now question and more of a question I've had in my head for a bit. If someone wants to run the Borg Warner 9 bolt in perpetuity instead of switching to a 9 inch, how would they go about building it up? Has anyone been able to get heavy duty ring and pinions from Australia where the rear axle is more prevalent than here in the US? I know there's the rear end girdle from TA Performance that will help with strength, but if I eventually plan to run 600hp to the rear tires, is there a way to do it with the stock rear axle with a decent overhead on reliability or will it absolutely necessitate a 9 inch?

The girdle will certainly help, the big thing is getting rid of the factory posi carrier. Some guys have fitted one from a 90's supra or gtr.
Custom axle shafts will also help. There is a seller on ebay that makes a solid crush sleeve. I think that is what is killing my 9 bolt.
I currently run this axle in my cammed 6.0 and it has taken an absolute beating. 6000 miles and lots of drag radial hits, generous burnouts. It now howls on decel.
Im moving to a 9 inch because I added a turbocharger, and for some reason the axle bearing races spun on this 9 bolt. I staked them for now, but it is on borrowed time. If you read up on the 9bolt.com website he has gone plenty fast with really no mods.

Aftermarket 31 spline will take a beating all day as long as you aren't dead hooking 600hp with a manual trans, clutch drops and sticky tires.

I've looked into building a spare 9 bolt I have laying around and this thread seems like the way to go to me

quite a few people have done the torsen upgrade now and it seems to be the best street build option
