Pretty sure my '90 IROC is .73. After that it seems there are many options. Finding them might be a different story.

Re: Wc t5 custom 5th gear

In 2025, why would anybody do that, for some antique obsolete transmission that there never were very many of to begin with, that tears up with the least bit of abuse, and that people who really want an "upgrade" and are willing to pay for it are just going to go get some more robust transmission anyway? There's just not a market for something of that kind, that has to be mass-produced to make it anything like cost-effective.

Wonderful fantasy; butt, Earth calling 92 hardtop...

Yes.

Last time I got a quote for an interested customer, it was hundreds plus the two new example gears. Just to make a gear with stock spline / gear / teeth sections that didn't exist in any application. Price tap-out happened.

You're after parts that do exist, that aren't going to get pulled from a running and driving car, nor from a whole trans. And really, a 0.63 5th with more rear gear to match drives better.

Your legwork and phone and networking will get you what you think you want. But the alternatives sure do smell nice if you rip that airfreshener off and throw it away.
