How much is a good rebuild on a 700? (good enough to hold 350, possibly 400 HP)

$340. parts only gets the daddy rebuild kit [ not the blue steels kit BIG$$$$ there ], torque convertor, a tranny cooler, corvette servos. new sprags. All those are must buy items for it to hold up. That price also includes a shift kit, if you go extreme with the shift kit you are doing more harm than good. A moderate on will lower tranny temp by reducing overlap the same idea with the servos[which are a must. If you have duel electric fans wire the one in front of the tranny cooler on a relay to the ign.. The mentioned price includes about 18 or so dollors that will be needed for micolanous parts[washers, nuts, springs, ect.], 3 cans of kooler kleen for your lines and raidator kooler as well as a lubegaurd supplement [some kind of pennitrating oil recommended by my transmission builder as well as Whatever it Takes {WIT} Transmission parts wharehouse in Bullitt county, KY 800-940-0197
With or without the shift kit it will hold four hundred horse. My transmission guy charges me $250 to rebuild any RWD tranny. I personaly drive 3 700rs two w/out shift kits and 1 with. It will hold four either way. Without a shift kit and 3.23 or higher rear end it will bark hittin 2nd and 3rd in my 91 B4C. 350 TPI Bored 30 over corvette heads, cam, ported plenium, 4 bolt main block, beefed air intake, police pkg chip and all...

Get the TransGo Reprogramming kit as well. Which I would think would help the tranny hold up better. For more info. just PM transfixleo.

The shift kit I had in that quote was the best one by trans-go.
