The RPO code for aluminium drive shaft is JG1.

I went up to wrightwood and bought it.

Pain the the @ss trip because of the fires in anaheim hills andd the winds on the I-15. The I-15 south was closed because a couple big rigs rolled over so I had to go the 138 to 14 to 5 route.

Well it is indeed an aluminum driveshaft that he had in his camaro. He may have installed it himself. He went to a turbo 350 trans and bought another driveshaft and just wanted to clean out his garage fast.

GOOD KILL , I mine from a local J/ Y for $45.00. She had no clue when i said ' how much for a basic camaro driveline?" Then when the yard hand was pulling it he said " wow this sure is shiny, must be NEW." I kept quiet, and smiled at my wife knowing this was a sweet kill.

A word of caution. The 88-92 alum shafts are simple bolt ins to those years; however, you'll require a different sized rear U-joint for the shaft to fit pre-88 Cars, or at least I did in my 85 IROC. Try CarQuest #3-3130.
