Stupid question,

Since i don't have a funnel / doohickie handy for putting transmission fluid through it's proper hole, can I just pour it through the shifter hole since it's still open?

 

Yep. I just did that last weekend. It helps if the trans has a slight foward tilt to it, cause the main holeis in the front of the trans...

 

I just went to the hardware store and got 10 feet of clear hose, attached it to a funnel and ran it from under the hood on top of the trans into the hole. It took me only a few minutes. Just get the biggest hose you can that will fit into the fill hole.

 

or you can get a pump gun at a parts store, it what is used at a dealership, i bought mine from Steve's Wholesale, its a place here in oklahoma and a couple other places, i've seen it in several other tool dealers too and wholesellers
