Can't figure out what's wrong with my Tranny- not shifting right

When driving my car it seems to have a hard time shifting into the next gear. It seems like its letting the engine get to a higher RPM than it should before it shifts. Sometimes the car even starts to vibrate. I thought it might be the TV cable not adjusted right so I tried that it seemed to be out of adjustment a little but no luck still shifts the same. The way I adjusted it was by pushing in on the metal tab on the side, I slide the one piece in untill it was flush and then released the metal tab. Then I grabed hold of the bracket on the side of the TBI and turned it to WOT. Does this sound correct?

It sounds like you've adjusted the tv correctly. Has any work been done to the trans, rear gear or rear tire size change? It sounds like a governor problem.
