ok.......

Brand new probuilt 700r-4 1991 Z28.

Shifts hard. But I feel it changing its mind from gear to gear during normal acceleration (no biggie but not good). Here is the strang thing. When push the pedal down around 95% it launches fine and hard, when I press down further it just lets go and REVS to high heaven without moving. Could this be the TV cable?

Also I installed the B&M megashifter and have not hooked up the relay so the computer can control the lockup. I dont think that has anything to do with it but what can that cause?

Also how long after buying a new trans should I change the fluids in it again? Its been around 2500 miles.

Thanks guy's & gal's.

Anybody else?

This is a probuilt trans

I checked the fluid and it was a little low (1/2 quart)

But what else could be the problem?

I dont want to go out and try it again until I know its safe or not.

I would definitely call or email Dana and ask him...you don't want to do anything which would void your warranty.

It shouldn't do that...could need a TV cable adjustment or an issue of the shifter not fully engaging a particular gear, if the detent alignment is off just a bit...

Again, call Dana and ask. He knows what he is talking about.

Also, please let me know, as i just bought a Pro-built 700R4 today...along with a 2600 stall ACT converter. I have faith in the product and finally built up the funds to buy one.

Actually, post the answer for the list...I haven't found anyone yet with a Pro-built tranny that had it fail, at least on this list. It would be good to know the track record that Pro-built has built up....to date, It is 100%, that I have been able to research.

Also, the customer service is one reason why Dana does so well, on top of providing a great trans for the $$$.

Can you tell I am convinced?
