for all you guys that have done a shift kit

i just cant remenber which way this goes in the pin that is laying beside the vavle body the end that is circled i cant remenber if it was sticking out of side 1 or 2?????


its kidda hard to explain hopefully some one will understand.

The best way to explain it is to tell you what it does. This is the Manual Valve and it is moved by the shifter via internal linkages. Now if you look at the inside of the tranny you will see the "Rooster Comb" that the Detente Spring acts against and the link that goes in to the hole on the circles end of the Man Valve.

Wipe the oil off of your hand before you smack yourself in the forehead!

Set the valve body up to the trans. the end of the valve with the hole (for the manual linkage) should go towards the manual linkage.
