ok, im cheap, i know this just listen anyway please

im putting a th-350 in my 83z28...

i welded a plate to the old trans mount to relocate it, and the torque arm is wleded to the crossmember, still has the rubber bushing in it though...


any thoughts?

 

The mount plate deal is standard practice. That's OK.

It should work somewhat; your pinion angle won't be right, it will be too large, but the car will drive and all that.

That's pretty ... ummmm.... economically sensitive, don't you think? the TA relocate kit is only like $30.

 

that kit is like 70 bucks...im broke as ****....

im gonna have it so the pinion angle is slightly higher then stock, hopefully get a little better traction
