2.73's 0r 3.73's?
2.73's all around suck unless all your trying to do is set new land speed records
the 3.73's are the way to go, they will make your car take off real quick and im sure you have an overdrive trans so you can still cruise around no problem.

2:73s will be better for mpg most of the time and good for top speed. 3:73s will be good for acceleration, and hinder you top speed significantly.
But don't think 3:73s are the answer. You need to match your gears to the rest of your setup. If your car doesn't make power past 5000 rpms, you're wasting your money. I learned this the hard way. I later found out the cam in my motor doesn't make power past 3500 rpms. I didn't gain anything in the 1/4 mile from going from 2:73s to 3:73s.
3:42s are your best all around gear for the road.

I have the stock 3.23s in my Iroc. It's got plenty of get up and go off the line, yet cruises at around 2000 rpm at 65 mph.
If I were you, I'd go 3.42s unless you're on the highway a lot.

I forgot to post the last time that the Iroc had a 350, w/edlebrock 4-brl..... orginally 305, it also has a 5-speed which I am unsure of what one, would the 700R4 be a good choice if I wanted to go back to auto? If I go back to auto, what would be a good choice for a shift kit? so.....woule the 3.42's be good for this? Where I live at in Maryland, there are every rear you could think of putting in this car at this certain scrap yard I know of, and all is around $100................I guess you could call this junkyard a camaro grave yard, lol,
