Guys i need to know if there is such a thing as a transam without posi.. the reason is because there is a blue transam at one of the local yards that i have my eye on getting some stuff from it. I asked the guy if he knew it was a posi and he said he had no idea. i need to know how to tell if its a posi or not cause i dont wanna convert to rear disc unless i have to. If anyone knows how to tell the difference or know if the car has to have a posi since its a T/A instead of a reagular firebird like mine please let me know.. i got my tax money and about the only thing i really need is a posi rearend so i can accually hook at the track this year... help please!!!

if u jack up the one side of the car and try to spin the tire and it dont spin its a posi if it spins its not

 

Jack up the car, take the cover off and let it puke, look inside and see if there's clutches and preload springs in the middle!
