i have a posi in my car with 273 gears and i was pulling out at the store and it felt like i got rearended it will go backwards when pushed but it locks up trying to push it forward and when runing and in gear it will not move unless u push it anybody know whats going on

Try some punctuation in your question. Otherwise no one, including me, can understand what the heck you just said.

 

Sounds to me like your pinion nut fell off. Your gears are almost certainly toast.

 

i just ripped it apart the pinion gear broke. its just laying in the bottom of the rear thanks for ur help rb
