Aluminum driveshaft vs stock driveshaft for a 3rd gen

Whats the weight difference between the aluminum and stock driveshaft?
I know that since its lighter it will also free up some torque that was required to spin the stock version.
Can the 93+ 6 spds be a somewhat easy and direct swap for the ones in the 3 gen models?
Where can I find triple plated clutches and light flywheels? And are there any for the 93+ 6 spds?

Not for that extra cost unless you can find one for next to nothing. When I got a new driveshaft for my race car I was considering getting one made from aluminum. The driveline specialist said the an aluminum shaft will flex too much for me and that a 3 x .083" steel driveshaft is the better way to go. Once properly balanced it will be just as good as an aluminum one just not as light.

I did notice that with higher gears (3.73, 4.10) highway driving is MUCH smoother with the aluminum shaft. A couple pounds of weight really reduces the critical speed of the driveshaft...

As for 1/4 mi runs, the difference is minimal....

(Haven't been around for awhile so a whuttttzzzup goes out to many! )
