Will these gears fit??

I have found some 3.42 gm gears used that have a 1000 miles on them. There out of a 10 bolt. I have 3.23 posi in my car now and I don't know if it's a 2 or 3 series carrier. The guy I'm buying the gears from is also selling a 3 series carrier. Should i pick that up as well and will these gears work in my 10 bolt???

342s Will fit on a 323 case if they are 7.5/7.625.

Depends on whether it's a 7½" 10-bolt. There are other sizes like 8½" which won't fit.

Measure the inner diameter of the ring gear before you bite.

If you have 3:23's you have a 3 series carrier 3:42's will bolt in.
If they are 3:42's from a 7 5/8's you're good to go. (or 7.5)
