Can the stock cable be used with the B&M Megashifter?

Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 3:27
Can the stock cable be used with the B&M Megashifter?
Can I just leave the stock cable there and hook it up to the Megashifter or should I go to the trouble of hooking up the cable that comes with it. The only prob is that it is used and I don't know what kind of shape it is in. Thanks fo any info. Timbo.

Sorry bud you have to have the cable and you also have to have the bracket that bolts on to the gear selector on the tranny. they are both required to get the shifter to get the right gear. If you don't use them the detents on the shifter and the detents in the tranny won't line up and that gets expensive quick. I got a magashifter for my 700-r4 and I love it.
