I have an 89 RS V-6 with an automatic transmission (yeah, I know). But every time I stomp the gas, it kicks into low gear, shoots the RPM's up to redline (6,500 somewhere around that), and will not upshift. I have to toy with the accelerator and as the RPM's go down, then the transmission makes the much needed upshift. Is it me, or shouldn't the transmission make the upshift as the RPM's are on their way up, and not down? I have lost many a race due to this for fear of bringing harm to my motor, and I would love it if somebody could give me a remedy. Thanks,

If you were to install the Trans-Go Performance Shift kit, along with the large boost valves & Corvette servo, this shouls solve the problem. This is assuming that the 3-4 clutches are still in good condition. If I can be of help, let me know?
