Hi I have a 1989 T5 it grinds when i shift into 4th gear, and when i downshift to 2nd gear it will pop out,if my speed is to fast but it works perfect on the upshift..the trans works really good other than that, it is smooth and quite so i just shift into 4th really slow and then it is ok.. What do you reccomend for a fix.. it has about 75,000 miles on it does it just need syncronizers or a whole rebuild kit all of the teeth look great.. Thanks for your input.. Kevin

 

could be synchros or shifter fork out of alignment or worn.
