i have a 700r4 i want to change the boost valve in, i got the part from gm and need to know what is invoved in changing this thing.
please help.

 

Drop the pan(if you haven't changed the filter now would be a good time), remove the snap ring that holds the boost valve up into the tranny. Catch all the parts that come out and remember how they came out. Replace the boost valve and put it all back up in the tranny. Install the snap ring. Nice long skinny snap ring pliers help. It's located near the where the filter goes into the pump(if I remember correctly). Make sure you keep everything clean.
