TCC & car stalling?
TCC & car stalling?
Will the tcc not ingaging or disingaging cause a car to stall at a stoplight, I had to keep my car in nutrual and drop it into gear and the out and then back into gear several times untill it got rolling other wise it would stall out and die. this was a intermitent problem i was having it hasnt happend again but it was after hard exeleration and then hard breaking. i was stuck at a stop light for a few minutes intill i figured out it might be the tcc or tc blades stuck so what do u guys think it is? thanks

Yep, could be. The TCC can't lock up in 1st, because the trans fluid doesn't "run that way". But, it can definately get physically stuck, and not disengage when it should. Does this only happen when the car warms up? The computer doesn't engage the TCC unless the engine is a certain temp. If you're doing short runs all the time, the car'd be fine... but as soon as you go for a long drive...
Well it happened once last week and hasnt happened sence, it was after 10 mile on the freeway and a short birst of gass followed by braking. I guess it could be the brake pedal switch but i dont realy know were to start with this one.
The actual oil the controls the TCC Valve comes from the 2nd gear circuit so it could bog down right to a very low speed but should not stay applied at a stop. That being said you could have a sticking TCC Valve in the Pump. This is pretty rare though, especially on the 700 as aposed to the 4L60E.
