Someone has a Borg Warner 9-bolt from an 89 IROC. He says it has a 2.77 w/ POSI. I didn't think they came with a ratio that low, could be worng. Just want to know if they came with them. If it doesn't its probably a 10-bolt

They definitely do come with that ratio... I would guess that it's probably the most common one

 

Ah ha, ok then my next question with that carrier can 3.43 or 3.73 gears be installed in it?
And would it be much stronger than the stock 10-bolt on a 92 RS?

Oh yes, I was at a local junkyard and they said they would sell me a rear from a 96 Z28 with 3.43 w/locker for $500. I didn't think it was a good deal, but my friends said I was crazy not to take it .
