Por-15

Where is the best place to get POR-15?

Is there any advantage/disadvantage to ordering from one web site verses another? Which (if any) is the official site for the company that makes POR-15?

Are there any places where I can walk in and buy POR-15 so that I can save S&H charges?

Where did you buy POR-15?

Any help would be appreciated.

Dood, I would go for zero rust, unless you are doing the chassis.

You can get it in spray cans, and it is much easier to use.

www.zerorust.com

I'm in the process of doing the insides of my doors in the Monte, and having it in a spray can makes the job Soooooooooo much easier.

No to mention it won't stain you the instant it touches your skin....
Do some research on both, and choose whice ever one is best for you.

I'll take a look into zerorust.

Yes, I am doing the chassis. Floorpans, framerails, wheel well, ect. The car is starting to rust everywhere the original undercoating was. I want the best/cheapest solution to get the rust controlled before it becomes something I need to worry about. I've heard positive info. about Por15.

Just make sure you wear a radiation suit.

Or you will look like the creature from the black lagoon....

Once that stuff is on your skin, it is there to stay for awhile.

Just wondering what is this stuff. Is it like Rust check.
Or is it more like tremclad undercoating?

I bought POR-15 straight from http://www.por15.com - I used the Super Starter Kit in Semi-gloss, which was just enough to do my 3.73/posi/disc rear axle. I followed all three steps exactly (they're not hard steps), and was very pleased with the result. I'd used other rust conversion crap in spray cans before (for body work), and the rust wasn't stopped. The POR-15 is what the pro's use, and I haven't seen any rust on that axle yet.

The Super Starter kit was $19.95... I think shipping was $6.
