!!!tta Motor Mounts?!?!?!?!?!

I purchase an '89 TTA motor for my '92 Camaro. Im about ready to drop it in, except for the fact that I can't figure out these motor mounts. I have included pictures. I'm thinking he gave me GN motor mounts since they match up with those at a parts store. The TTA ones looks totally different. I also can't figure how these mounting brakets picture mount up to my crossmember. Do I have to drill new holes, or are these even the right ones? Let me know, please. I am ready to get this engine in. Thanks.

http://www.mattsgarage.net/mm1.jpg is the picture of what was sent with the TTA engine.

http://www.mattsgarage.net/mm2.jpg is a picture of the motor mounts and brackets

http://www.mattsgarage.net/mm3.jpg the brackets.

Please help.

I would "think" that they'd use the existing V8 holes; no? Oh, wait, aren't the V8's a four-hole mount? The 3.8 is basically a V8-size, but missing 2 cyls... Do a search on here, there's a few guys with TTA motors that could probably help you out.

The V8 motor mounts have 4 holes, yet only use 3 bolts on the crossmember.

Go to your local friendly GM dealer.
Buy the parts counter guy a soda.
Ask him from the print out of the 1989 Model you seek to duplicate.
You should see exploded diagram of how GM did it.
Ask for part number, too.
OR duplicate a 1995-2002 F-body 3.8 engine bayframe mount set up. It's identical to what you want, I'll bet.
When I received my 1995 3.4, they sent me the frame motor mounts, too. Remember, that the S-10 was designed back in late 1970's for release in 1982 model year (Sept 1981). They look identical to my 1985 S-10 Blazer 2.8 engine frame mounts.
I hope they are, as I need to get new engine bay frame mounts, my 1985 ones are shot.
OR do as most folks do.
Drop engine in bay, and weld those frame mounts to the engine bay frame.
You probably have the holes, there already.
That F-body engine bay did once hold a 3.8 for a year & a few thousand cars, too. Engine bays didn't change from that 1989 model.
Fun project!

Im kind of leary of thinking that the 3.8 motor mounts are the same for the curent series II 3800 and the '89 TTA engine mounts. Reason being, we all know that GM is the king of interchangability, and knowing that you'd think the part number would be the same. Id bet that they still make mounts for the current 3.8 F-bodies, but i know some of the parts I need are discontinued. Some questions im thinking about:
Does the LT1 motor mounts swap right into a '95-present crossmemver?
and
Does the LT1 motor mounts work with out mods on a 3rd gen car, more specifically a '92 Camaro that came with a 305.

I did a search at partsamerica.com for your mounts; they don't share the same part #s as the V8 mounts... I agree with Karl, best bet is to go to a GM parts counter. I even looked at energysuspension.com , doesn't seem like they have a polyurethane mount for your motor.

Motor mount are not the big issues, the brakets for them are what im looking for. As far as the crossmebers for a third gen, I know that they are the same as the '89 Turbo Trans am, what is different are the brakets that line up to the F-body crossmeber. Not the same as braket for the 3.8 into a G-body.

Cheat.
Bring a COLD six pack to your favorite wrecking yard.
Ask them to open up their Hollander swapping parts books.
That may be your safe answer, too.

i can try that, but i went to the GM place yesterday, got the part number for the '89 TTA. The guy then did a search for that part number on every thing else the only results were "89-89 Firebird".
I can try the salavage yards, but in the case of getting the orginal brakets from GM, I may be SOL.

He's doing a parts search, nationwide.

Hemmings
Back of MANY Hot Rod, Popular Hot Rodding, Car Craft, is a WEALTH of vendors that deal specifically in the Turbo GN motors.
They have numbers, call them, too.
More research.
Get to the newstand with paper & pen jot down those Turbo Buick vendors.
They'll know what to do & what part to sell ya.
Just because you can't get "that GM part number" doesn't mean there isn't another simple solution.
You just need to find that person to give/sell ya that answer.
Those Turbo Buick vendors can help ya
