I was actually impressed by my 6
I had the car out for the last day of school today, and i found it had a bit of power, and i even put it sideways, first time ever, and its my first rwd car, and i left like a 20-30 foot strect of rubber, maybe it seems cool cause i'm used to driving my mom's protegé or my dads impala(FWD 3.4). anyways i like it, and all i have for mods is a dynomax catback, and i'm going to make a CAI when i get a chance,

it rained today and the roads were wet when I was leaving , I took off fast a few times to get out b/c cars were coming and i sat there for just a sec spinning my tires lol .
I thought , this is kinda funny , people are prabably thinking WOOW he has some power to be doing that ..heh And no V8 . Yeah , I know if the roads were not wet , it would not have done it . but it was funny .

Nice lookin' 'Maro!!! I was always impressed with the way the MPFI 2.8's ran. My old 'Bird would grab 2nd every time, thats probably why I lost the 1st and 2nd gears out of the old 5-spd
Don't laugh
I'm envious of your green lawn!
My first rear wheel car.
G0D,
I didn't even know what front wheel drive was when I got my license!
I thought it was a weird way to go down road.
I remember looking at my first flat floor.
A Eldorado in the 1970's.
Couldn't understand why it was "different".

Ain't rear drive fun? I remember when I first got my Trans Am (when it was LG4 powered) I figured I know all about fishtailing with the 6, and I almost lost the thing by accident. On purpose, forget about it. Nice rainy day, either the T/A or the Camaro is fun to fish tail, I just can control the T/A a little better.
Insurance: I pay $1300 a year for just the Camaro on good student discount, only liability, and on my parents policy with the other 7 cars we have in the family. Trans Am was just another $400 to add because it is the low output version
, and its old enough to be worth nothing.

I DO KNOW HOW BLESSED I AM AND WAS
To have been around to tell how it was.
I DO KNOW how blessed I was to have a 1966 Corvette as my high school car.
BUT what you don't recall or remember was how cheap stuff was back them
That 1966 Corvette today would command like over $50K.
THEN it was a 6 year old used car for $1,750, complete intact.
The 1974 Corvette was NEW LOADED TO THE GILS & SPECIAL ORDERED (I have to order form! I ordered it!) for only $6600.
I got the used cars!
Including
1963 Buick Special wagon 215 V-8 Aluminum engined, that was a daily driver for longer distances (the Corvette & GAS CRISIS was IN FULL SWING!!!!)
We just happen to have two underground gas tanks (Regular then to become regular unleaded & Premimun) on our farm property & at the factory my Dad owned.
We DID work hard for all those toys and my Dad wanted them and they were DIRT CHEAP BACK THEN (gas crisis made EVERYONE throw away lots of HiPo 8 MPG cars for FREE)!
Examples off costs back then
1963 Grand Prix, loaded, NEW dealer demo car (try 421 SD engine!) $5K
1969 FORD LTD WAGON (most expensive car on the lot, I was told) over $5K new
1970 Same car, again over $5K new-options
390 2bbl/auto AC AM/FM Stereo wood grain siding, luggage racks PS/PB
1963 Buick Wagon-$600 (1974 purchase)
1966 Mustang NEW under $2,000 with V-8, auto, NO RADIO, PS (left over 1966!)
1970 Caddy Sedan De Ville (below the limo size) USED about $2500 (know how much room I had in the front and the back-know what I mean-then hit the electric seat button at the right time!)!
1954 Corvette (1974) >$3K
1961 Corvette (1971) $1200 (Black, Silver coved, hard top, BEAUTIFUL)
1961 Corvette 3/4 Strip car (front wheels Cragar SS & wide whites!) a Beauty $2K (1972)
1961 Corvette BEAUTIFUL LOADED original 2x4 Mechaincal cammed (LAST mechaical cammed dual quad, ever from GM) I FOUND IT IN CHEVY DEALERSHIP on a rumor (1976) $2K
Try 1958 Corvette Fuel Injection unit all intact-$100 (recent price-I got my Bro a 1964 "MUTT" Fuel Injection for $2500)
My old 1966 $1,750 Feb, 1972.
I know, I was in the car, when my Dad stopped the guy, in the middle of the intersection to offer to buy the car, on the spot.
AND HE SOLD IT & WE BOUGHT IT. Drove it home next day in an ICE STORM!
Believe me, I wish I did have a time machine!
This was the actual way it was.
Hell I used to drive to school, a 68 mile round trip, in under an hour, one way.
ALL back country farm roads, up to 80MPH constant with twists & turns and.....
Be happy that someone is around to tell ya the truth about the 60's & 70's.
One of my Girlfriends out here, she hung out on the Sunset Strip in the 60s' when whe was legal age (18 & younger).
Know the stories I hear from her?
Don't ever be angry at me because of my youth.
My family worked fair & hard to enjoy a wonderful time in America.
Never to be repeated again.
Know how I feel, like a failure of a Father, cause I may never offer my Son and ? that type of safe life, as I grew up in?
Almost prevented me from being a Dad.
Maybe my Son & ? will help this world one day.
That's how I made my decision.
ANDD I WORKED REL HARD TO ATTIN ALL MY RIDES, too.
Lots of ridicule and resent from people cause I have all my stuff (5 cars & one cycle).
Least now I have a house to store it all!
Keep trying to get it all while ya can.
Think I'll ever let go of my cars, as my Father did?
Lots of those cars are now gone and gone forever... as my past.
Enjoy your first day of Summer.

MAN ARE YOU LUCKY
IF you were old enough to be driving in the 60's (I wasn't got my license in 1972 @16)
YOUR MAIN WORRY IS EVADING THE DRAFT!!!
Seriously on that detail.
I missed being drafted by a scant few days.
They stopped the draft when I got my draft card.
And I was VERY THANKFUL!!!!!!!!
Remember, we all have one big advantage....
We're still around to enjoy alot.
AND one NEVER knows what one can attain, by your efforts.
I never decided to become a millonaire until last year when I started my real estate ventures.
Now......... less than four years to go & only $900K!
I'm checking a house in Beverly Hills this weekend.
Yeah a fixer upper!
Just yesterday, I got offered my third business partner for my real estate venture business.
I never imagined.
Never give up, always try with the right effort.
Yeah,
I WAITED 19 YEARS UNTIL I COULD CALL A CORVETTE
my own again!
That's along time.
Just so you know that, too.
Remember
it took Dale Earnhardt SR
20 years to break his curse at Daytona..........
To finally win at Daytona.........
And in a blink of an eye
We're still here.....
HAPPY SUMMER EVERYONE!!!!!

why do you think I am lucky?
My response was thinking............
You're lucky because you have a beautiful, loving, girlfriend,
whom happen to be appearing as "voice over talent" in the new "Powder Puff Girl" movie I heard advertised, a short time ago.
So I tossed it out!
Goofed.
Hey, it is the first day of Summer!
Great day to goof!
Great time to meet a cute girl and go skinny dipping with her!:hail:
In the chilly water
,
when the night is hot,
the Moon is Full!
Show her the Stars from under your 3rd Gen F-Body T-Tops!

It's been so long since I did a fishtail, but I did one today. It feels so good to take the car sideways, countersteer, maintain control(especially at the end, your car shoots forward in the direction is finally grips at.
