lights near the shifter

Once upon a time the red lights that show if your in drive/park/overdrive/reverse worked but now they don't. Its not such a bad thing but sometimes at night I'll be in D instead of OD cause I pull back too far. Anyway, how do you fix the little light in there? i guess i have to rip it apart to get in there, is it a bulb/fuse?

All you have to do is pull the 6 screws holding the shifter plate on and replace the bulb.
If you want to pull the plate out all the way, you will have to remove the shift ****, but it isn't neccesary if you're only going to replace the bulb.

a little tip when doing this , dont tighten the screws in the shifter plate to tight when putting it back on , it can crack the plastic .
