To make this a technical post, how does the location of the mass appropriations on your abdominal region effect the handling of your automobile?

My girlfr..er... fiance
was driving a 3rd gen when I met her... and it was a 2.8 MPFI! Now she's got a 4th gen- and keeps joking with me, saying I should get a new car.
I told her I would, if she trades her camaro in for a minivan.
On the tech note; it might slow your 1/4 mile times down.

I don't see any girls here in tucson driving around in thirdgens.
I saw a hot girl in a second gen! She was staring, and she wanted to race! Yeah right I say, so I raced to the beginning of 3rd and left her waaaaaayyyyy behind because we went on the twisties!! Gotta love those iroc sways! I've only seen her once. Then I have seen one girl in a fourth gen, so I waved at her. We roll down our windows and she says " I don't think my boyfriend will appreciate me talking to you" And her boyfriend was driving (He had a 3.4) So he tried to race me to see if he could get ahead of me and get on the off ramp where I was. We were like neck and neck and I Slowly started pulling! So I let go of the gas a little so he can catch up, and he misses his off ramp! He must have been pissed!

i had a girl pull up beside me a few months ago in a black thirdgen and wanted to race me. She proceeded to blow my doors off.
Did i mention it was pouring rain and i couldnt even keep up without going sideways, let alone race.
Too bad, otherwise i would of tracked her down to take a look, at the, umm, car..

I use to work with a female that drove a 76 (gen2??) z28, it was always breaking on her. But she didn't care, it was her first car and she was "gonna keep it forever", well, a few years later she drove home drunk from somewhere and ran it off a bridge, so I hear. But around here, I think my fience will be the only hottie driving a camaro, hehe. I am always teasing her, all the guys gonna be flirting with you now. And tom, females dont need a mini van for kids, mines gonna be putting ours in a camaro
Now when we decide to make the next one, then I think I will look into a 4 door blazer, slam it out, beef up the engine, a few other things

I've only seen guys driving 3rds around here, and girls (what fefw I've seen) driving 4ths. Could be that "old car, & not a honda" thing

He has a 88 and she has a 92. But believe me in my club its not un-common to see car seats in camaro's and T/A's.
lol well ive been driving my 3rd gen firebird for 7 years now, but recently i bought a camaro z28 which i catch hell for on batteleboards.org ford vs chevy. some guys act wierd becuase im a chick but its expected. the pic of my bird i took in a few years ago before i put the cowl induction on, i wont take a recent one of the car cause its being prepped for a paintjob

I'm a girl as I think you all know by now. I've taken my car to the track 2X now. Granted its a 6 and didn't perform so well, but i still had a blast. Wouldn't even bother street racing. Until recently the 6 has been too sick.
In both fbody clubs around here there aren't many women members and the ones we have drive 4th gens. Most of the 3rd gen female drivers I have noticed on the street don't take care of the car at all. Its disgraceful.

most of, well 99.9% of the 4th gen i see around here are chick driven and about 80% of the C5's too!!!!!! (i see a lot of those around here)
Most thirdgens are driven by youger males, however thers is a woman thats maybe around 35 who drives a 85-90 t/a that works at a post office, that car is just a beast, bright red, and its mint, obviously a recent paint job and probable the only "mod" to the car, but its sharp as h#ll and probably the nicest thirdgen i see on a regular basis, including my own...

I know 3 women that drive 3rd gens in my town. 2 have 91 firebirds one has t's and the other is a hardtop, both cars are beautiful except for the clear coat peeling on their hoods. Then the other one drives a ragged out 85 Z28 t top that is in such bad condition its pathetic. She put a new carbed 305 in,but is in such desperate need of fixing up the Z. I drove it one day last week, there is soooooooo much body flex, the brakes feel like there about to fall out when braking hard, and has virtually no weather stripping.
poor thing
But theres like 20 girls that drive 4ths here too. I never see any guys driving them, but the guys drive the 3rd's instead.

More recently I have been seeing only girls driving third gens. I have always thought of them as a guys car. I would have to say the ratio of girls to guys driving them around here seems about 5:1.
Any girls on here in Ohio?

"Gurls" in ThirdGens
My theory as to why girls are driving thirdgens is that they are cheap and plentiful, and easy to fit into if a girl is petite. But, I myself have had to deal with my '86 Camaro falling apart, so a girl has to have ***** to put up with her car breaking down. I'd tell anyone else to buy a Saturn, haw haw...
According to the California Highway Patrol, my V-6 2.8 is not welcome on Highway 99....I want to juice my car up, but my Chevy is a trouble magnet. How do I stop getting pulled over?

seems to me a ton of people here drive 86 firebird v6s..lol i hardly see ANY of them around here at all! that stupid third break light on top of the hatch is freaking irritating. Well i am a petite chick and i have a Harwood fiberglass cowl induction hood on my 86 bird now and at first it wasnt too easy to see over..and i got used to the blind spots, but the regular stock hood was easy to see over never had a prob.

I'm 5'7", so I would not say I'm petite, more like average to tall. I'm not skin and bone, but not heavy either, I'm more...fit. I have no trouble fitting in my 87 Firebird. I find it more comfortable than most cars. I've had it for 13 years, 1st car. I have never had any visibility issues, even with my Suncoast hood.
I agree with RedZ28Chik, more girls need to learn to work on their cars. With the age and milege on ours cars, something is bound to happen and its a good idea to at least know the basics. It amazes me how people will drive around with oil lights on or horrible clunking coming from their engine, or belts squealing. Heck, I had a guy pass me the other day on a local road and I could have sworn he had a spun rod from the noise.
Heck I have had to enact more emergency repairs on my car in the past 2 years. Luckly it seems to wait till it's in the driveway before it has a complete melt down. I have been very fortunate. The car has truely taught me alot. Till this year I really had no one who could teach me about performance and mechanicals. I did modify the basic electricals (stereo, lights) and handle mild body work/modifying (adding gfx & custom pieces) & handle a basic tuneup (plugs, wires, cap, rotor, oil change). Well Joe helped me chase a nasty backfire & rebuild my suspension, and thru it I have learned so much. With everything that breaks I learn more. I about have a new engine now.

I think its great to see a girl working on a car .Could save her from being stranded someday if her hubby is un-able to come help her .
. It amazes me how people will drive around with oil lights on or horrible clunking coming from their engine,
When I use to work at the captial down here , a legislater drove a Lincoln Town Car that with a loud ticking .
I think it was a lifter , but its like , must not care to much about that 40k dollar car huh ?

My neighbor's belt is squeking , and he ( I SAY HE) he will not fix it , maybe you should fix it for him so you can embarrase him !

Damn, thats a wack wing. I am building mine for my wife, thats 5'5" 92 lbs, I am going to have to bring the seat up about an inch for her, and dx the air bag. We took it for a spin little over a week ago with the child in it, other the the wind blowing in her hair (at 2.5yo she complaining about her hair already) she enjoyed it. I fit in it fine, after moving the seat, the wife should fit fine, car seat fit fine. First of aug the tranny is going to get rebuilt, then new battery, insurance, plates, then on the road she goes.

Mine woman likes classic more then current cars, but most of the time, my working on cars dont bother her. She rather me be in the shop working, then being out and about doing who knows what with who knows who. Shes wanting me to teach her how to change oil etc. She already knows the flat tire, check and fill all fluids, keeping it clean. That alone is more then most females I know, so its a good start. Maybe later down the road I can teach her to take apart and engine, or some suspension stuff.

Mine loves old cars, but does drive me nuts in the respect that she does not care for the car well. When she does decide to wash and clean, she's very meticulous about it, whereas I would rather give it a quick wash and vaccum than none at all.
Since it is HER car I can't bitch too much, but once I replace the carpet, headliner and shampoo the seats I hope not to find five empty McDonald's cups with sticky goo in them on the floor and seats, four pairs of shoes, a leather jacket, four novels, a guitar (ok, the axe doesn't much bother me) and five lesson books in it.
Of course, she lives four hundred miles away from me and until she moves in the day to day stuff I can't do.
SO I am getting her LeBaron convertible back on the road so I can take over the Camaro for my own selfish evil wants (rebuild the suspension, redo interior, 3.4 swap, 75 shot of nitrous, 3.42's or 3.73's instead of the 3.23's, get the AC working, etc)
MU HA HA HA HA HA HA!!

I only bring water in it now . It has NO stains anywhere in it , not the first . And the carpet or seats have never been cleaned .
Except , vacumned good !
One siamesed entity. Human joined to machine from the neck down in a ninety mile an hour waltz across the interstate, together keeping time to the orchestral cacophony of sound that was the music of the engine and the resonance of the exhaust that was the applause ..."

I have yet to find the cup holders in this car :| I am seriously gonna miss them. And them hang on the door cup holders look like a$$
I have totally noticed the increase of ladies driving 3rd gens in my town. One that comes to mind drives an excellent 91 firebird. I'll also go as to say she is as hot as the car. As for girls liking 3rd gens, my girl and my good friend both dig the 3rd gens.
redraif, I seen you and your car at nopi nationals in tennessee last month. I remember seeing your car and taking pictures and then I seen you get out. I was like a chik drives that, sweet. Good job.
