I tried the install of my 200amp PowerMaster altenator today and the damn thing went up in smoke. Let this be a lesson or reminder for mechanics 101- New parts don't always work just because they are new. Needless to say its on its way back to them for another try. Ill keep everyone posted on the results of my charging statis with the crank and alt. power pulleys when I get the next "new" altenator.

Are you running the alt. power pulley and a/c? Because of the ratios it will be turning aprox 110 at idle and 160 at speed with the 200amp unit.

Man chill I'm not flaming.... And no I do not have the power pullies, I am a firm believer in NOT installing the Alt pully for that very reason. I am how ever looking at a crank pully.

I think duals are beter than one. You have more control on where the juice goes, you can turn one off when not needed and its cheaper.

autozone sells 108 amp alt. for 60 bucks, remove the air pump n put 1 in its place.

216 amp for 120 bucks plus a little labor.

remove the AC and add a third if you want to go deaf.

With that much juice you should have more than 1 batt. and a tip for that is use welding cables for wire. Better and cheaper than what you can buy at a auto/speaker shop for longer batt cables.

same thing on a big rool by the foot.

Joe, I wasn't asking this in the least ill manner. Sorry you may have interpeted it that way. The whole reason for the 200amp alt. is because I'm planning on running both pulleys.

The 200amp alt puts out 140amps at idle and 220amps max. if the alt. rpms reach 6000 not the engine. with the power pulleys on both the crank and alt., these figures will be lower- probably around 140-160 at speed and should keep the charge good at idle even with highbeams and a/c going. It gets hot in cal even at night.

As for this Kj ********, I'm not much for words- a usually stay calm and keep my mouth shut while I kick the fu(k out of someone with a mouth like you. Too bad you don't live nextdoor.

P.s I'll gladly e-mail you my address if you would like to come over and play

Well for someone is 35 years old, you sure act like a 12 year old.
Send me an email anytime you want.

I don't have my info all blocked off, like I'm tring to hide from someone. The paranoia of the Internet, your such a ***....

P.S. And I'm not saying I'm not acting like a 12 year old, But I'm only 21 one, so just flip it around.

Oh by the way, AFrikinGoodTime,
