Mods that Increase Gas Mileage?

What are some mods that will give me beter gas mileage for my 2.8L auto Firebird?

The reason why I need good gas Mileage is Because:

I will be getting my licence soon!!! yay! Sept 15th.

And gas ISSS HELLA expensive where I live!!!!!

You guessed it!!!!!!!

$3.02 A GALLON FOR 87 octane gas!!!

And $3.50 a Gallon for 92 Octane...

I need all the gas mileage I can get lol

I was thinkin new oxygen sensor, put in a bottle of fuel injector cleaner, keep your cold air intake clean. Check the pressure on your tires, make sure they're somewhere in the range of 30-35 psi. (don't know how that converts into kilopascals). I keep mine around 32, but one tire keeps leaking.... Drive around in OD, instead of D. Learn to drive with a lighter foot (LOL, maybe I should take my own advice, lately I've been keepin it below 4500 RPM) Don't use your a/c too much. I'll post more when I think of it.

The MSD 6A-L helped alot. What helped even more was when i put the crane fireball coil. On top of that, i got some wires and overgapped the plugs. Motor ran clean as hell and much better milage.

A full tune up is the best start. In addition to the above, headers, hi flow cat, good cat-back setup, ram/cold air intake would also do wonders for mileage. These all allow the engine to make the most efficient use of the air and fuel as possible - just stay off the go-pedal

thats something WE ALL need to do, myself included... don't run your car as hard as most of us do, it'll tear stuff up too! But I still do it I always have to learn the hard way its the way I am...

everybody pretty much summed it up... Once you get the best airflow, exhuast, and ignition going on, you'll be seeing some great gas mileage out of your car!

Try some synthenic oil.It will in some cases help milage and alittle hp. When things get to roll a little better it tends to do better.

do a search on this board and you'll find that that thing is absolutly useless! At least thats what I found when I did research on it!

Defiantly research that!

I just got the ASP underdrive crank pulley. It lets the engine turn everything easier. Haven't driven enough yet to see if fuel economy changed though.
