You are powertripping the wrong guy and I think this Derk guy need to lecture you on your job. I help weed out the mumbo-jumbo and help provide positive info to this board. Check out my history of responses -An accational "flame" as you people refer, but most of what I post is positive and helpful. this Teal is one of the antagonising and unhelpful brats- but then again its probably one of your click. Moderators should openminded in there judgement and not judge based on personal likes and dislikes.

if aficangoodtime has a dial up modem then his Ip would change everytime the comp logs off and on the net. but with a permanent hook up (cable,dsl,etc) it can't be changed.

 

Most Dial-ups use a staic IP adress now.

It is assigned to the MAC address when the system first logs on, and will use the same address, unless the nic card is changed...

Ovrclk, What you must realize is I did not start sh*t with you. My reaction are a result of the stunt you pulled on me.

I have been the foreperson for a handful of us in California who have been waiting for months on the latest info from CHC. What you don't know is that I HAVE ACTUALLY DONATED MONEY TO HIS CAUSE and my questions represent many who are eagerly awaiting results. So when I ask questions in the Header post, It is because I have positive and vested interest in this subject, and am asking the update questions for ALL to know that there is active progress still with these units.

I don't know how else to reach you because you keep locking the threads rather than the individuals that ridcule the cause.

Afrikangoodtime, whatever your name is...I didn't say it wasn't helpful, but it could have been taken to PM for anyone interested. That thread was the last chance for the headers post. All information could be found out by using the search or PMing CHC. You couldn't follow the rules. End of story.
