Weird Idling Problem

Ok....whats up everybody...haven't posted in a month or so...I got this random weird problem...maybe some of you can help...my car starts up and idles really high...like at 2000 then slowly drops to its normal idle about about 700 or so...thats number one problem...number 2 problem is this...sometimes when I'm driving and I have to brake...the motor races about a few hundred RPMs from what it was at...it almost feels as if the tranny is downshifting...this is only when i hit the brake and am riding at about 1500 rpm...don't know what could be causing this...vacuum maybe...i changed my IAC and that didn't help...TPS is adjusted right...idle is strong and smooth...nothing is binding on the throttle cable or anything...any help would be great...thanx

A start up that is like that could even be a dying mass airflow sensor .

yes wayne...this is true...but the mass air flow sensor is fairly new...in fact...it is only weeks old because i replaced it trying to solve the problem...i'm still confused about this and will keep searching to fix the problem which is very annoying...the egr checks out cause i dis connected it and plugged the vacuum supply line to it and the car still did the same thing...i think i'm going to replace the vacuum tree that plugs into the back of the intake manifold because i have a brand new one lying around...we'll see if that fixes things...if not i'll start checking sensors...
