firing order
firing order
I just a tune up but like an idiot i forgot to make a diagram of where the wires plug into the distributor, i have a 92 v6 3.1, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
i looked in my haynes and found the firing order, went to start up sounded horrible, seemed like everything was real off, was there something i could have done wrong? i put in new plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Let me know about any common problems i should check.

what do you mean by real off? It could be that the plugs aren't in all the way, so your not getting a good seal thus bad compression. You didn't adjust your timing did you, or move the distributor? Also check to see if you may have accidently disconnected/broken any vacuum hoses while you were working.
1-2-3-4-5-6 Starting with the passenger front. 1-3-5 right bank, 2-4-6 left bank. Set motor to TDC on the crank. The rotor should be pointing towards the battery area of the engine bay ( front right fender/headlight direction), If so your on #1. if not the rotate the motor another full turn to TDC.
