2 ram or not
i dont know about the ram air 2 hood thing too costy, but try the dual snorkel ram air, looks like a easy priced design, same $ it would take to make your own cold air. + ram air is colder air than in the fenders
i want a fiberglass hood, even if its the stock shape, the factory ones are soo heavy...

MDv6man, I've gotta disagree. We don't need to put other mods into our motors for it to take advantage of a ram-air intake. Sure, other mods would help, but he'd still see a boost in performance with a stock motor and ram air. Although, I wouldn't suggest buying a whole hood for it! And if you think about it, ram air is really just a cold air intake, but with some kind of ducting leading from the front of the car to the air filter. Ram air won't "hurt" the motor, it could only help. The big point of fabbing any intake for our cars is to get rid of the ridiculously restrictive factory tubing!
RPS, the only fiberglass stock hood I've found is made by http://www.usbody.com . That's the only fiberglass hood I'd put on my car, it'd make absolutely no sense (to me) to put a hood on with a cowl induction scoop- I've got fuel injection, how would I benefit from a cowl induction hood?

For the price of them hoods you could buy a whole car with a blown or missing engine with a cool hood.
And yea Tom cowl induction hoods are dumb as hell.
68-69 bird hood dual scoops can be easily grafted into your hood.

I'd actually like to try making my own hood one day, using my original hood as a mold. Course, I have many things to do before that time comes, and by then, I'll probably be a retired millionaire, and might as well just buy their hood.
I did feel an improvement when I relocated my air filter so it was "ram air", as opposed to a cold air. Original location was in front of the radiator- cold air. New location was underneath the battery tray of the passenger side, above the fender bracket, with the plastic that covers the bottom of the fender (Firebirds) bent down to expose the filter.

doesnt SLP sell a CAI setup for 199$ and the Ram Air Hood for are cars are 550$ hmmmmmmm:lala: guess it depends if its carburated or fuel injected huh?
the only thing stopping me from getting the hood so far is that simple fact that it's gonna cost a **** load of cash just in shipping let alone the hood and let's not forget about the painting but we'll see

Tom, I have built my own carbon fiber hood for my s10, unless your going with some totaly off the wall design, I have found it is cheaper to buy one, then to make one. Just trying to give ya some insights, and not trying to turn ya away.
