HiYaAll,
I just purchased a new Throttle Position sensor. I believe at idle my settings should be 054 and around 4.25 at wot. What setting should I set my ohm meter at? Is it the black and blue wire to check cuz theres 3 wires.. help.. other than that..
Thanx

Just put it on there, there isn't enough there to adjust. Besides the computer AUTO ZEROS the value if it reads UNDER 1.0

Ryan, unlike our 3.1's, his '88 uses an adjustable TPS which needs to be set at around .44-.54 volts, then the ECM needs to be reset.

Depends on what settings your meter has... use the lowest voltage setting possible for DC. Some meters are auto-ranging, so if you just have a "VDC" setting, use that. Otherwise you should go with a 5 VDC (meaning 0 to 5) or 10 VDC or similar.

Concentrate mostly on the idle voltage. I forget the specifics, and you could do a search for it, but the computer enters power enrichment (PE) mode at about 80% above idle voltage. So you don't need to hit 4.5 volts for WOT, as long as you're in the 4's, you're good. Glenn told me about this, so it should still be findable with a search.

Out of the three wires, you want the "B" and "C", which are the top two wires on the TPS. You've seen the tech article and know about making jumper wires, right?
