My SES light does not stay on when i drive, but if i plug the code scanner in it will constantly flash code 12, does that mean everything is cool, or i need to change the speed sensor?

Yeah, code 12 no matter what. Code 12 just means the codescanner is connected to the diagnostic port and it's working properly...
