3.4 will be your best bet.. Actuall it is the only one that will work with your tranny.. Do that swap, enjoy and save for a v8 build up...

The computer will accept that without modifications?

From what I heard

From what I heard, the computer would accept this because:

1)you will just be using the 3.4L Block.
2)you will be re-useing the 2.8L FI, etc.
3) It's still a Sixty Degree V-6.

I am going to try to get ahold of a 3.4 Also.
I want to put on in this winter, along with 4.10 gears. ( I only city drive, Highway every now and then)

IF I get a vehicle to drive in the winter I want to find 4th gen seats, Center Console, and New Carpet. I want to swap My idiot lights for real gauges.

Then after all of that I want to find some rims.

I want to take some pics of my car&swap; to bad I dont know anyone with a digital Camera.

Very cool which year came with the 3.4? 93-97...? I will be doing that conversion, but all the 2.8 stuff will fit (most) I plan on getting headers new cam (rough idle) an edelbrock throttle body and heads but everything else should line up right?

Read my Tech thread about the swap
I wrote it
I've done it & I'm doing it in my Blazer, too.
I only do street legal smog swap for CA approval. If ya wanna mod beyond what factory did, that's up to you.
Install, get running, then modify.
My suggestion.
How's your tranny?
Ya gonna need a rebuild if ya haven't done so.
WHY? So much torque & power.
EVERYONE of swappers report loose of tranny (one clutch!), so much power!
HP 165
Torque 200 foot pounds
