BORG WARNER
"SELECT" Series parts
is SAME AS ACCEL
(Brass contacts)
HALF PRICE OF ACCEL!
I think you'll use C218 (CAP)
DOUBLE CHECK could be for a 85 Blazer (see below!)

Sure, you can buy the stuff at Pep Boys, and then they'll special order it, and charge you twice what Summit wants for it. For instance, Summit wants $15.25 for the accel cap/rotor kit for our cars (ACC-8133). For #8133, Pep Boys wants $20. Imagine what they'd charge for a wire set!! But hey it's up to you where you go. I always thought Summit was expensive until I started pricing the local speed shops and parts stores.. suddenly, Summit became the least expensive!

Did mine a couple of months ago....About $25 from Autozone for cap & rotor, plugs and wires. Wires were a free replacement from the last time they were done. The good ones come with a lifetime warranty :lala:

I got the autolite lifetime warranty ones, they're 7.5 mm. They're gray and the boot is really big so it'll never burn through the wire.

Why not just get Accel from Summit? They can do money orders and COD's, too... those are basically stock wire sets...

well, tom, the idea was i didnt want to wait for them to be shipped. Now, I am thinking I will just return them and order the right ones (Accel ACC-4079..is that right for my 3.1?)......it is okay to change my cap and rotor and leave the wires for now, right?

Sure it's fine to just do that.
Why wouldn't it be?
Your wires that bad?
Open hood, engine running, in the pitch black dark.
You'll know how bad the wires real quick!

Oh, okay, yeah waiting for shipping can be a pain. Are there any other mail order speedshops in your area? Not sure about the part number, go to http://www.mrgasket.com and download the free accel catalog file (.PDF file), it has all the parts #s in there. I've got something running on my comp right now and don't want to risk losing any info by going into acrobat reader.
