8 month update on info
8 month update on info
I found this V6 board aprox Feb. of this year. Was led here on a tip looking for headers. I've always had a desire to build this little V6 for aprox 10 years and have always come up empty on aftermarket parts. I've always thought it would be special to have a modified V6 Camaro because I have never seen it done.
Anyways, MANY THANKS TO THIS BOARD, I have in about 8 months aquired many parts and links to finally do something special with this car. It is rare nowaday and most of all will be extremely rare 10-15 years from now.
Here's a list of things I've aquired with the knowledge of this board.
1) Headers
2)Larger TB
3) Roller ratio rackers that are made to fit this specific engine
4) underdrive pulleys/ along with the knowledge of having to run a higher amp alt. in order to use the alt. pulley
5)Basic understanding of chip burning and scanning the ECM(am currently furthering my education and capabilities in this department)
6)Hunter Aluminum strut mounts(suspension board)
7)Proportioning valve Mod (suspension board)
8)The need for Fiero valvecovers when using 1.6 rockers(Still need to purchase-no problem, salvage yard when it comes time)
9)MOST IMPORTANT-Some one finally doing experimental flow designs to improve the stock heads. Where not just talking a little porting and polishing like others, Their doing extensive R&D that would cost the average person big bucks to try themself. If these guys can improve flow with a larger intake valve and vane removal, it will be a first for the 60*v6 Camaro engine. Lets keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best. Super Six Motorsports is working on a complete peformance package but I'm probably only going to be interested in their heads.http://www.supersixmotorsports.com/f...le=Engine+Tech
Cams, bypass mod, 3.4 swap,etc.. alot of things I already knew about before I got here, but the things above I have this board to thank for leading me to.

Found a picture of my Camaro while digging through some photos from a few years back. Its the best I have, It was actually a pic of my daughter and the car happened to be in the background. I have to buy a digital camera one of these days.

I'm curious to see how your car come out.
How much power are you estimating
I'm on limbo waiting on two things.
1) Waiting for the outcome of Supersix' r&d work on the 3.4 heads. This is what will determine final HP. If they are correct with their flow predictions with the 1.8 intake valves and port work/possible vane removal entirely, then we will be looking in the range of 220-240 hp naturally asperated.
2)My most important rut is SMOG LEGAL HEADERS. I cant do anything worth while without them. I own two sets of full length(equal length headers) with EGR valve hookups but have run into some ruts in my efforts to get them certified.(Hint:$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$)
I'm a California businessman and it appears they stick it to us here in our efforts. Lets see what luck CHC has in his venture since he is from out of state. I can't get any strait answers from anyone but it appears the EO # is going to cost me aprox $3500+
I have connections on just installing them and blackmarket smoging the car every two years but don't want to go that route if I don't have to. Laws change around here too often and connections tend to sometimes get sketchy and become unavailible.
I'm also currently equipping myself with chip reading and burning capabilities so I can monitor each individual upgrade as I complete them. I plan to log personal charts and chips for each upgrade at a time and its gradual evolution rather than just bolting everything in at once and trying to trouble shot it all together. This will also help me learn and perfect my skills with the computers peramiters--Baby steps. I'm going to have to be able to maintain smog legal and will have to burn a susequint chip just for smog checks as I go ahead with the process, always keeping that an availible option to de-tune to.

I have original hooker headers.. Never used.. Gaskets still vaccume sealed along with the bolts.... If you pick them up a deal of a life time.. If I have to put effort out make me an offer.
I paid 160 for them..
