Exhaust Photos
Never posted any pics of the back of the car since I had the exhaust system put on with the tips, so I figure why not... Only things different from the way I got the car are my tips, and my stickers... (Funny sidenote, the Moroso and Dynomax stickers are strategically placed.. The Moroso one covers a bumper crack, and the Dynomax sticker covers a dealership decal.. ) If you guys like the tips, they're Edelbrock intercooled 3 1/4 in...they're like $32 each from Summit.

I happen to like my Moroso sticker...that's a leftover from the All-Chevy show I went to man! That was the best event I've ever been to...exclusively Chevy. Except one fox-body stang running Chevy under the hood. And by the way..I don't THINK the dealership thing is a sticker, but I'm not exactly sure what it is. Probably comes off with the right chemical...

A hair dryer would probably work; you can buy kits that fix the urethane of our bumper covers.. then you just need some touch up paint.

If I ever put a Type R sticker on my car, shoot me.
And Tom....I've been staying away from touch up paint..had a horrible experience with some..left my car with a disgusting badly matched streak on its side that won't come off...the scratch looked better than that touchup....

if you put a type r sticker you get about 15 horses
but don't forget if you get a coffee can a punch a hole in it
and write in black permanent mark TYPE R on it. then you fit it into the exhaust, you got about 30 horses
like the tips... look like mine
hey i just realized how close you live to me nixon...well sorta...
i live in miami...
who knows
if you ever see a metallic grey firebird, with black horizontal stickers (like the super bee, and the hemicuda) over the hood and spoiler say whats up.
i need to get a picture of my car and post it up for you guys... i'm quite proud of it.
hehe!

ha ha Keoki... I hear you can take an empty film container and run wires and really thin hosing from it to a fire extinguisher in your passenger seat..and then tape the hosing from the canister to your air intake tube...and slap a NOS sticker on the canister and get power out of that too.. And yeah, put some photos up, I wanna see! You're a good couple hundred miles from me I think... And I didn't realize the stickers would cause such an uproar! Jeesh! Heh...hey, I reserved to only putting stickers for things I've actually used or been to.
Summit Racing-where I order all my performance parts
Dynomax-My exhaust
Moroso Motorsports Park-From the Chevy show
I was tempted to slap the K&N on there but I thought that'd be overkill..nowhere to put it so it looked nice and even either..I slapped it on my intake arm under the hood. :P I LOVE stickers, what can I say....

well i'm gonna try my new horse power hoax soon
i'm gonna tie two leaf blowers to the hood, and connect them to my intake HAHA TWIN TURBO!!!
and a V-Tech sticker or two on each "turbo"
now thats pimp!
i figured you were pretty far, but the way i look at it.. most people on this board are either in cali, or the new england region

Oh oh oh I forgot to mention...you can get power too by taking a HUGE diameter tube and fitting it around your fan, and then getting the tube gradually shrunk to 3 in., and you've got yourself a turbo!
well i have homemade cherry bombs
here we go
2 cans of hairspray
2 lighters.
and a really long wire
tie the long wire to the accerators mechanism, and tie the other end to the hairspray. so that the thingy will be pulled back.
jam the lighter so that its on all the time, and make sure your hairspray is neatly placed into your exhaust... how... well imagine cutting a hole into your tips and placing the can there.
instant cherry bombs
you'll need refils on the lighters though

The only problem with that is when the stream of hairspray is on fire and you let off the pedal... the fire will travel back up the stream and right into the bottle, igniting it and making a fairly entertaining explosion.
That's why you don't make handheld "flamethrowers" with cans of hairspray...

Ha.. I looked at my sticker this way.. They're not only showing people whats in my car so they dont have to ask or think I'm a wimpy stocker (I'm only CLOSE to a wimpy stocker), but they're advertising for companies, etc. that I think make good products and that I enjoy. If I freakin HATED my catback, I wouldn't put a Dynomax sticker on it!
well, all that matters is that you want the stickers there. kinda like mods, would you take something out of your car that you modified, and liked, just cuz everyone hated it? the world would be a dull place
but yeah, i respect your reasons for liking 'em.
i wouldn't put any stickers on mine (no offense to you at all) because the fact that it's sort of a "classic" to me and i feel the need to reserve that feeling. putting stickers on would voilate that (in my opnion)

Yours is more classic than mine in several respects..one, it's an 84 so it's simply got age. Second, you got a Berlinetta! Not many Berlinetta's around.. How do ya like your digital dash?

Dash..your instruments..speedometer and stuff..I believe the Berlinettas got digital versions instead of analog...thats what made them special.

Hmmm....first time I've heard of a Berlinetta without digital instruments.. Maybe the original cluster burnt out and someone replaced it with a standard cluster cause digitals are probably expensive and a PITA...although I could be wrong, maybe they made some without the dash.

Yeah, you definitely got a harder to find one.. Don't see many of the carbed V6's...much less, Berlinettas.

Yeah, definitely..we love pics. And Al....yeah, the six cylinders have been around since year one of the Third Gens..and naturally in early years, like 82, 83, etc., fuel injection systems weren't implemented in any cars yet...so..the 6's got the carbs. After seeing horsepower ratings for them..fuel injection was a godsend for us...
And Al, how in the hell did you get a reaction time of .668???!!! Jesus!

And Over...what was special about the Berlinettas exactly? Besides that most got the digital dash, the name, and were available in any lovely assortment of cylinders.. Were they German cars?

How do you try to make a Camaro into a luxury car? Lol.. I dunno about all of you alls', but mine definitely does NOT ride like a luxury car. One of the hardest rides I've ever felt...every little bump in the road shakes the car. WICKED stiff shocks and springs and such....
I ran the rpo codes on my firebird a while back,... mine was equiped with a soft ride suspension package,... {Why it still came with a T-5 tranny, I do not know, but I'm not arguing it.} The only thing I like about the softer ride is that it's a good cruising car, and it launches pretty hard for what it's got under the hood.

Yeah.. There are times when I wish mine had a softer ride....but then I think about autocrossing and shrug it off.
Sooner or later, I swear..........
I love the minimal body roll too..for not having any suspension upgrades or tweaking at all, it handles quite nicely... Only if my steering were properly adjusted and I had new brake pads and rotors now...

Carbs stayed up until 1984 on the V-6's. They also had smaller valves and main bearings. The early 2.8 HO received larger valves which were the same as the heads used in the later FI cars.
The Berlinettas were to be a luxury Camaro. They automatically received the deluxe interior, split rear seat, and special tires and trim. The V-6 was standard with the Berlinetta through all years but could be upgraded to the LG4.
I guess the "Star Wars" dash was an option in 84-86. I thought it was standard. I know the Berlinettas did get tghe gauge package in 83.
