why not part it out???? Spend a weekend and stip off ever sellable part and put it in the shead. call your local junk yard and they will take the rest for free or might give you 25-50 bucks for what its worth in scrap metal.

For $30-40, new coil= about $500 and it drives outta your place.
Unless it's hot, that's pretty good math to me!

you dont have to pay anybody to take it, any junk yard will take anything free, sometimes they will even pay you a few bucks. Open your phone book and the first plae you call and say hey I got a free car for you, if you come in get it. It will be gone in a few hrs.

I bet if you offer to pull parts you can clean up here if you sell them cheap. make a few buck for your self then junk it. no one ever charges for taking a junk car, it worth money in scrap metal.

Ok in mass You have to pay for the junkyards to take a car becuase they need to get a junkyard title. I would rather give the car to some one you would use any way.

YET
ATLEAST
We got first crack at it, here.
Shame I'm out west....
Ya can always do a 7 day ebay have the aucton end after Black Friday.
It will cost $50 + to sell (fees) on ebay tho.
YET that'll sell for about $500, I'm sure.

Who'll take a bet this be gone by end of today?
Anyone?
Anyone?
I'll bet a free 2.8 automatic flexplate, heck, I'll bet all three!
How about swapping it to some kid for snow clearing all winter?

Funny checking out the pics and
It's wild to sit in my old original Camaros and see what, 20 years later looks like, the interior dashboard.

I say somebody gets to have it for free, there is no reason a car like that should be sent to the crusher just for having a bad coil. Just get another title (if thats possible) and go from there.

I still have the car it was from Ariziona then went to R.I. in 93. the undercarrage is rust free. and there is a small amount of rust behind the rear wheels. but Why is this car still in my yard it's stoping me from geting a 79 t/a. THe title will be easy to get becuase in R.I a car over ten years old does not need a title. THe thing also come with hust style hach louvers but its from a 85 and is minning the mounting hardware.

I live up in Maine. If it would be legal for me to drive that thing back home, I'd make a trip down there next weekend for it, that is if you're still gonna just give it away. Does it have plates on it? Although I don't know if I'd be willing to drive it all that distance with no plates. Then again, I'd need a title to register and THAT costs money too... crap, hah, I'd take it if all I had to do was buy a new coil, but i can't afford the excise tax and all that right now. hah, anyhow, does it have plates and are you still givin it away?

Man I need to find someone with a trailer...

I'm gonna see what i can to get a hold of a trailer, getting a free Camaro is too good to pass up. Like I said, if I can get one, I could be there the weekend of the 21st to take it off your hands! When I find out if I can or not, either way, I'll contact you. Thanks!

If you dicide to part out items let me know. Like maybe the center console and arm rests and perhaps the headliner trim by the rear hatch,a motorized hatch release would be nice! That is if nobody comes to get it.

You guys that are close enough to "drive it home"...check with the state police in your area. You may be able to get a one way pass. Atleast here in the Mountain state we have that option.

If you were closer I would be seeing you next week. *** knows I need all the parts I can find.lol Like a passenger door! Preferably maroon!

That's a good idea. Course, I'll need a one-way pass for 4 states, hah, but it's definately worth looking into. I did that after I bought my first car, of course it was only a 15 minute drive home then, instead of a 5 hour drive. Who knows about NH, MA, or RI. I'll check into that though, thanks.

2.8 for sure unless it's a replacement motor. If I'm not mistaken, it's an 86...it's got the external 3rd brake light. I believe that was the only year for that. Friend of mine used to have an 86 that looked JUST like that...

Do you still have the car? If you do I can be there Thursday night to take it off your hands. I live in Ohio but I own a truck and trailer and could leave Thursday morning to come get it.

How exactly does R.I. law work as far as the title? Can I get a title if I take it to a Dept. of Motor Vehicles? Or something else that will allow me to title it in Ohio?

i believe here in ohio, if you get a car from a non-title state, you need a bill of sale as proof for the BMV to issue you an ohio title.
