Hmmm...can't find anywhere that says what HP the shot is rated at....on their website, the 2000 series dyno charts show about 100-125 hp gain, so I'm guessing the one I posted earlier is about a 50 or 75 shot.

So they are actually making a kit for our cars now! Good. That way, there won't be any confusion about which kit is best, can be adapted, etc... It sure is awful expensive, though. I still say the cheapest way to go would be the fuel injected 5.0 Mustang kit for about $475, and 75 HP gain. I would imagine that if this kit is intended for the 60 degree V6, it is probably about 60 HP, since it can be used on the FWD cars too, and they supposedly have weaker pistons in them. They used to make bolt on nitrous kits for the carbed 3.8 Buick V6 cars, and they were around 100 HP, while the V8 small block kits were around 150. These were all supposedly for stock engines.

for all you guys looking for v6 performance parts, I suggest surfing over to the summit website and just do a search for "2.8 Camaro" or whatever engine you have in there, and a bunch of parts will pop up and hopefully give you some ideas...thats how I found this.

I TALKED TO SOMEONE ON THIS BOARD . AND HE HAS A MUSTANG #5115 KIT ON HIS 3.1 AND I JUST BOUGHT ONE FOR MYSELF. IT IS ADJUSTABLE FROM 75 TO 150 . HE SAID THAT THE GUYS AT NOS SAID THAT OUR ENGINES COULD HOLD UP TOO A 100 SHOT SAFELY W/ OUT BLOWING. ALSO IF YOU ARE RUNNING A CHIP TOO TAKE IT OUT WHEN YOU USE NOS. OR YOU WILL BLOW YOUR ENGINE. SO WHEN I PUT THE DRY KIT ON MY CAR THE CHIP IS COMING OUT. PLUS FYI......THE STANG KIT THAT I MENITIONED IS CHEAPER THAN THE ONE FOR OUR CARS. JUST SPEADING THE WORD AND TRYING TOO LET YOU KNOW YOU CAN SAVE SOME CASH .

That was me with the mustang kit. I have had it since 1996, and it has worked great. You're right that you can't have the chip with the Nitrous, because it would detonate. I used a 75 HP shot to play it safe, and I have had no problems with engine life. Glad to hear that you are going to be spraying it soon. Let me know how it goes. I think you will be pleased. That first bottle will be gone in a hurry.

As I pointed out a lonnng time ago, NOS has been making kits for our cars for many years already... it's just that nobody ever asked for a part #.
