Just wondering what you all paid for your rapidfires, per plug.. I just checked at Autozone here and they wanted around $4.00 per plug. OUCH! Might as well just order those $6 Halo plugs online! :P

yup, about $3.99, still cheaper than +4s

Whew...expensive. Yeah, the +4's are garbage. Actually, all the platinums are. Great plugs normally but the electrode is too small and the temp range is too cold...I fouled regular Bosch Platinums in 2 weeks flat. 2 weeks! That's why I'm asking about the plugs..I need new ones.

i've had Bosch wires & +4s on the wifes blazer for about a year now. mpg on trips did improve. cap & rotor suk, as the cap is $25, & rotor $10 for it.

Why don't you just get some Autolite #24's? Should be about $1.25 a plug. I don't believe much in trick sparkers. Now a good coil is a must. Originally posted by Nixon1

Project...has the Blazer got the same type of ignition system as us? My car's ignition ate my platinums straight up. First 4-5 days, car ran BEAUTIFUL...better than it's ever run before. Gradually, it gets worse, and worse, and worse.. Now it runs like holy hell. Runs JUST like it did when it had the old fouled plugs in it. Argh.

My 95 Blazer has the 96 style cap & rotor. Dual connector coil (I think, might be single) but the cap has the posts coming out the sides, in a Cap-A-Dapt style. cool, except for replacement costs. Rotor is just expensive.
Try Bosch Supers, only $0.99 ea

I second this suggestion. Autolites are workhorses.Originally posted by RBob

autolites suck the big one. always fouled out in my 77 T/A & my 76 Bonnie. I recomend them to ricers only
edit: actually, not even to them.

Damn..this place is divided in terms of plugs! Well, I went with the general recommendation I've heard and with what GM recommends...put the Rapidfires in today. So yeah...moderators, feel free to kill this post whenever ya want. I say we should be able to delete our own strings! Only ones we started. That'd be nice!

i have been running rapidfires in my V8 for over a year now....they work fine, have seen no decrease in performance.
