Size of 2.8 injectors on 85 Camaro

Anyone know the size of the injectors for an 1985 camaro with the 2.8 mpfi?
It seems mine are leaking and a friend of mine has some from his grand national that he knows are good that I can have if they are compatible. He just changed them out cuz he turned up the boost.
I know this may be reaching but doesn't hurt to ask since I'm low on cash.

should be 13lbs

(125hp x .50) / ( 6 x .80) = 13.08

Dale, shouldn't that be 135hp? I thought the 2.8's used 15 lb'ers........either way, I guarantee GN injectors will be too big.

I belive the 2.8l was 125hp, and the 3.1l was 140hp.

But yes, GN injectors will be to big. I belive I read somewhere on here a guy put 17lb injectors from a 3.4l in his engine and always got the "rich" code.

Yeah, the 2.8 was 135 hp. Also, I have 3.4 injectors in my car and I get the code 45 every once in a while.

Well, the 'slick' thing to do, would be to get teh 3.4/3.8 injectors (or whatever other oversized ones you could find) and reprogram the fuel maps according to the new fuel flows.

You mean size as in the outside dimension? They should all be the same size; inside is what changes. You should try to have those injectors sent out to Rich Jensen at http://www.cruzinperformance.com for a "real" cleaning- he disassembles them, tests them, cleans them, and puts 'em back together to do a flow-test. The service is 100% worth it; I had it done a few years ago, and it made an instant improvement in the car! Plus it cost less than buying 1 new injector!! Rich even installs new o-rings and pintle caps on the injectors.

You could send out the GN injectors, and put them in when you get 'em back. This way you can keep driving your car. Or... you could swap the GN ones in (and you'll run rich for a while), and send out your originals to Rich to see how the tests work out. If you shoot him an email (from the website), tell him your situation; he'll probably be glad to help you figure out the best "plan". I'm not sure if a simple cleaning will fix a leaking injector. I know, too, that his website says he can swap out injectors that don't flow-test within spec; maybe he can swap out a faulty injector for you?

He can do it for less than the price of a new injector? Last time I checked at kragens an injector was like 70 bucks, so thats a really good price for a cleaning. I sent injectors from my GF's corsica to RC for cleaning last year and it was a few hundred IIRC. I'll email the guy and ask.
Oh here's why I think the injectors are leaking. When the car has been running for awhile and you shut it off for like 15 mins and then try to restart it again it has to crank a long time b4 it starts. I can hear the fuel pump kick on so I don't think the relay is the prob there, I think its the injectors leaking while the car is off and sorta flooding things. That friend of mine with the GN agrees and had the same prob and new injectors cured it. Of course b4 I actually pull an injector I'll do a full tune up, but it seems like the car was tuned up recently.
