Does anybody have 91-92 style wheels...

on their V6 camaros? Mine is a 92 but didn't come with them. I am thinking about getting some (along with the high-rise spoiler) and putting them on before I sell the camaro.

Did anybody's v6 camaro come with them originally from the factory? Personally, I think the no other wheel style comes close to the looks of the 91-92 style.

I have them on my 92 RS 3.1. I bought them a year and a half after I bought the car. I spun my old back drivers rim into a curb and that was a wake - up call for new rims. I got them off of ebay for 600 with tires on them. They handle good, but they do cost a little bit of acceleration I noticed, but not that much, because they are heavier than the stock 15's I had. They have different offsets, be aware of this when putting the front with the front, and the back with the back. Here's a pic of my 3.1 RS, also notice the Z/28 facia I added a few years ago:

I forgot to mention, yes, they do bolt right up. I have 225/60/R16's on the back and 215/60/R16s on the back, and they dont rub, they fit just like the 15s, although it is a little tight and I would try to stay under 225 in the front and 235 in the back, because of brake lines and suspension components that may rub the tire. Heres what it used to look like:

Wow, those wheels definetely are an improvement. The thing I hate most about my Iroc-style wheels is the fact that they seem to get dirty so often. Almost every couple of days I have to re-clean them. I think the newer wheel styles make the car look WAY more aerodynamic, and just plain out nicer'.

Nice camaro by the way.

Umm point of mention.. I have the 25th ani. 16" rims. yes they do bolt right up, but also remember the FRONT and REAR rims have DIFFERENT BACKSPACING. Yes this is true. They cannot be rotated fron-rear WITHOUT A SPACER 3 or 5/16 I think...

And BTW, I will probly be getting rid of mine when I b get the $$$ for new tires. I do not like them too much.

Thanks, I was going to go with the Iroc style wheels, then I realized my car would look kinda weird, like half 80's half 90's. So I bought these when I saw them, and yes, the front do get dirty very fast (I have drum brakes in the back). Hope u enjoy them if you get them. Thanks for the compliment, although my car is not running today due to it's ICM problem. Well, I'll see what happens in the next few days

The rims do look great.
But you said your going to sell the car.
In all seriousness, whatever you spend on the spoiler and rims, you will never get back when you sell it. If you plan on selling it soon do not bother with the rims and spoiler. But if you plan on keeping the car for a few years then get them.

Heck yes!!! =o) I use the 16x8 ones for Summer, they have summer treads on them, and put the 15x7's on for the winter that have all-season's on them.

1991-1992 Style Rims (Bought them and then had them refinished)

Here is one of the rims close up:

Bridgestone Potenza RE730 P245/50ZR-16 Tires mounted on 1991-1992 Rims

These are the stock rims that came with my car.

WIDER IS BETTER! =o)

I want to put the high raise spoiler on my car in the future as well, but I don't like the idea of welding the extra holes and such that are left from the 3-piece spolier...

Feel free to check out my website for more pics and such
