Ok, I have a hi-miles 86 SE with a v8, but the stamped steel late 60's GTO look-alike wheels. I think wheels have nothing to do with an SE. I think items like T-tops, all the power options, the variable ratio steering (?) 2 tone paint, graphic stripe, Hefty front and rear sway bars, Cruise and Auto, etc. etc....

Anyone have production #'s? How about what to look for in the VIN? The car I have has seen better days and I plan to give it some further mods.

 

They made 2,259 S/Es in '86. Not sure about the wheels, but i think they came with either 15 or 16 in pontiac wheels. Check out joshp's page for more production numbers and stuff.
