Alternator Question
OK...I am going to re-wire my charging systemNew battery cables, new braid engine ground strap. The one thing I need to find info. on is the wire coming from the battery hot lead to the junction bloack on the side of the radiator.Does anyone know what gauge GM used to go from the battery to the block and from the block to the alternator.I want to use 8 gauge cable, but if the factory only used 10 gauge, I dont want to do an overkill.Has anyone done this, and if so, what size wire didi they use? Thanks alot guys.

Thanks guys.I will probably go with 8 gauge wire from mattery to block and block to alternator.Better an overkill rather than an underkill.I might put a new starter on it.Still has the factory one.Wont hurt to put on a new one.Later dudes!!!
