T/A leather seats...pardon the old dirty center console, and the door panels are the one that'll be going in my bird very soon.

not mine, but it's a good friend of mines back in st.louis. Hopefully the pics aren't overly dark, and you can get a general idea of what's going on in the engine bay. According to the changes he said were made, he used 305 lower engine mounts, along with 350 upper mounts, original radiator from the sixer was retained. The transmission is a camaro T-56, the crossmember was changed with a version made for the 6speed tranny in a third gen application. The front crossmember needed to be "banged" / "Chiszled" out to make room for the LS1's oil pan which was larger than the 305/350's that were offered in the 92' model year. The original computer was used, and is sitting in the passenger side engine compartment, a custom wiring harness was used to get everytihng working, although the speedo still isn't up and going quite yet, tach issues were solved with an aftermarket tach and shift light, hmmmm, lets see. There are guages on the a-pilar, but you can't see them, the rear is the stock 3.1L axel and gears 3.07 i believe was the ratio. And the rear tires are nittos. All done by a 17 y.o. kid and his father in their garage (minus the paint job which was done at a tech college by the same kid who built the car) . I'll get some better pix of it during the daytime so you cna see the paint better, but until then just voice the questions over.

that is sooo sweet....i want to have a newer v8 instead of my 3.1 so bad. oh well, gotta get a job and start saving up.
oh, where did he get the engine from? did he buy it by itself? i'm assuming that since he didnt swap in more parts from a donor car or something...anyway that is f*cking awesome!

the LS1 and the six speed were acquired from Just Vettes in St. Louis. He has a couple friends that work there, and they were more than willing to cut him a little off the top on motors with slight problems. He then tore the motor down and did a rebuild on it, including some minor head work. The car hauls right now as is, but we're hoping to get her faster with an LS6 intake and heads. So far though, the car has no times on it, and it's still running the pegleg, LOL. That's so funny to see, but even w/ the pegleg rear end the nittos (or nitto that has power) grips the road pretty well, and the car will launch hard as hell. But hopefully we'llget that thing to the track this spring, and see some times around the high to mid 12's, that wouldn't be to bad.
