Aluminum FlyWheel?

Hey guys, the Fiero Store is offering an aluminum flywheel for the V6 Fiero (same engine as yours). However, they say that the flywheel is only for the manual transmission.

Our factory flywheels are made of cast steel, the new ones will be solid aluminum which should be much lighter allowing us to get the RPMs up quicker.

Anyone know if there is an aftermarket flywheel for the automatics?

I have one also from my 3.4l. However, its the same as the 1991 camaro so I'm keeping mine.

However, can you link me up to the manual aluminum flywheel one.

Fiero store has great catalog!
Wish I could use some of that stuff.
Most won't fit.
Ideas are pretty cool, tho.
REALLY WISH I COULD USE THE FIERO MANIFOLDS ON THE F-BODY!
REALLY WISH SOMEONE MADE SMOG LEGAL FIERO HEADERS
Would give us FBody owners a chance at smog time.

You know the Fiero's don't use the same (manual) flywheel as our RWD 60*'s. If I remember correctly, the one I saw in the junkyard was a LOT thinner.......compared to ours which are about 2 inches thick at least.

Dunno if the flexplates are the same though......

actually what he has is flexplates, not flywheels.

Hey Ked, I have the address somewhere so you can ask about the fiero headers, but if you look at the headers, they exit stright back, which on the fiero is fine as it is transverse, but on our motors, they will bury themselves into the firewall before you could do anything about it.
