I emailed two people that bid/recived one asking for pictures, or very good description of it. I shall see!
Please don't believe that (and tell me you didn't buy a Tornado!). Its another restriction in your intake that will sap power. Electric superchargers are snake oil, provide no benefit period. If you buy one, you're being taken.

When you know very little about cars, gimmicks like that look like they can work, and they always looks convincing on TV. Its a good thing I know a lot more about cars than I did when I first bought mine, otherwise I would have bought something like that.
I miss those nieve days as a teenager ... sigh....
If that thing, like the Tornado really was such a great product, then you would see every car in HOT ROD, IMPORT TUNER, or whatever car/truck magazine featuring that product on all the cars. The only secret is that it is a high priced piece of aluminum.
I thought ZMAX was a gimmick too, but I tried and it did make my engine run smoother, and I got a couple more mpgs from it.

If try it. It tells you what it is.
An overpriced electric fan.

I know the tornado and all that other stuff is fake. I was just asking what this is. The description flat out says that its not a "PLASTIC FAN"; I didn't realize that it was probably a metal fan.
And it says its not electric or belt driven, which is why I was asking if it's like one of those Tornado things.
I know its a BS thing, I just wanted to know what it was.

You gotta read it all, its not a fan.
"CHECK OUT MY FEED BACK This will set the standard of all inline superchargers. Patent has been applied for and it is registered.Fits all 4cyl,6cyl or v-8 with fuel injection This inline supercharger will make POWER unlike plastic fans that flatten out at high rpm. This new design is so far above the other guys units! It is unreal! Not electric, not belt driven. In fact, it is completely seperate from the car itself. It's not going to leave plastic parts from the fan in your motor. It's not going to draw 50 amps from your motor, but it will at a flip of a switch, boost your cars power and it is one of the most powerfull of all the inline superchargers. Im sell plans for this kit that can exceed 10,000 rpm, and 2,000 cfm and its only 19.95 plus you get free shipping order yours today OHH and the best part is you can build it for under 300.00 and you can get all the parts from ebay, simple hand tools, needed"

its only plans for one and you then must spend another 300 buck on parts off ebay too build it.
not that it isnt still a bunch of hog howey but if someone is gonna spend 300 more in parts to build it, i am sure it more than just a tornado or a fan????

The fact that there aren't ANY photos of completed units is rather suspicious...and there aren't even photos of a BLUEPRINT! I mean, sure, maybe they wanted to keep it secret so people wouldn't just save the photo and build it themselves bypassing the manual...but I doubt that... And the principal behind the thing is just confusing. Not electric. Not belt-driven. Not exhaust-power. It's 'air powered'. What the hell is that supposed to mean? One of the 'photos' mentions a bilge pump....if I remember a field trip 6 months ago right, bilge pumps are high-rpm electric pumps wired to fans, used as, basically, propellers....we saw them used to push and steer underwater ROV's.
I still laugh when I see 'tornado air' in peoples' profiles and such....it's like 'teehee...you paid for a piece of aluminum to block your air intake'...

Trust me I understand why it looks fishy but if the final product cost 300 bucks too build, I would think he would have lots of bad feedback and or I know I would of track him down and killed him if it was a ripe off. Someone would of strangled him to death by now if it was total hog wash.
one thing he leaves out is coolant, it could be a turbo adaption for your coolant system??? In the one pic it clearly looks like a fan out of a turbo.
I was thinking even if it was a ford v8 whiple charger or what ever, long as you can find a way to drive it and route the air into the TB, it doesnt need to actualy fit the car, anything should work, long as it is a real blower or turbo.

Even still, with all the theories, "AIR powered supercharger"...while it's "not exhaust powered".....? Then what the hell is it powered by? A passing breeze??
