I bought a 91 Blue Z28 Convertible-L98 (dropped in)-Stage 2 Shift Kit-Eibach Sportlines-Borla Adj. Catback with open plate-Walbro FP-BRAND NEW GSC's and some other goodies on it.

SO far, I'm loving it. I have a lil bit of body work to do (fender, one dent, and some scratches) b/c 2 weeks before I bought it when it was flawless it was test driven through a barb wire fence I still love it though, the looks it gets even like it sits is awesome.

If anyone wants this thread locked, just say so, I will do so immediately. I tend to follow rules too, but I had to post this.

OH, and the shuttle that blew up.....woke me up this morning shaking my house. Theyr'e finding pieces all in my city (Nacogdoches) and one was found ...so far...less than 1/4 mile from my house. I woulda been PISSED if it woulda hit my new car.

Sad thing about the Shuttle. I'm glad you got a car that you really like. I am going to keep working on my thirdgen, its going to be a big money pit, but I don't mind since it is my first car and despite the flaws and lack of acceleration, and lack of a lot of things, I still love it.


This will be my only thirdgen. Hopefully, my next car will be a Vette, maybe in 8 years. Then I will be really happy, because by then, my thirdgen might be finished too so I could enjoy driving both.

 

Some people are IDIOTS !!! My Mom heard on the news that some people found pieces of the spacecraft in their yard and put it on ebay . For Go d sakes ! Have some respect for NASA and the USA . If anyone should have pieces of the shuttle , it should be the familys of the astronauts ,because this was part of them .


I was eating breakfast in front of the T.V. this morning all of a sudden there was a specil report . Then , like 15 min later I was watching it live as it was falling out of the sky . It upset me to see that , bad .

Greed is a powerful thing, especially when you can cash in on something for free, and you need the cash. I have a bizzare moral system. Personally, I would not put them on ebay, even if I knew I could make some money from it.

Right now that wreakage is evidence and is subject to be analyzed and investigated by the authorities so that questions can be answered thoroughly.

I know I wouldnt want to have any wreckage in my possesion. Every time I would look at the pieces I couldnt help but think about the 7 people that died. Even if it was insignificant I would rather NASA have it so they could put everyting back together to find out what really happened.
Do you think the damage to the wing caused the shuttle to discentagrate? I feel reall sorry for the engineer who said the damage in the wing would be ok for re-entry.

 

Nothing bizarre about that, morally it's the right thing to do. What is bizarre is people selling and buying parts like that like it is "OK". Off topic or not, moral relativism makes me ill.

 

Oh and gumby could you please take off the pic in your post. Its reall disturbing seeing a flaming shuttle with 7 people who just died.

 

I won't apologize for the statement, because that is exactly what I would do....Yes I realized that people died, and no, I'm not worried about "cashing in." I didn't actively go looking for anything to cash in on anything. And even if i had come across something and then sold it, I wouldn't be cashing in on their deaths.
