Throttle body coolant bypass
I read on another site that the coolant going into the throttle body actually keeps the TB warmer (so it doesn't freeze during the winters, I guess). What the author did was disconnect the coolant lines from the TB and just run a hose to reconnect the coolant lines. He then plugged the inlet and outlet on the TB and claims that he got a few more horses and feels much better throttle response. Has anyone done this and did you feel any difference.

i did it recently, but noticed no reall difference. It does how ever make it easier to work around and under the plennum. I plan to make it look really nice pretty soon, i just don't have the time right now
o my godddddd PLEASE DONT BRING THIS SUBJECT UP AGIN. we have had so many flam wars in here about this....if you are interrested in doing this "mod" then go to the https://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/t...ntbypass.shtml
this will explain how to do it if you wish.....
i did this i got 2 results.....my tb froze in south carolina....in january, it will not give you any hp at the rear wheels..but with other mods it may help you....although i did notice when i drove my car b4 the bypass the intake would get vary hot...now it dose not...
this is a trade off........you will get 50/50 results....
hope this helps

i didnt feel any increase either.... but no money was wasted! i dont have to worry about it since i live in LA, but (as mentioned above) it may prove to be a hassle in colder climates
